Property Tax Name Transfer

As the process’s name implies, the property owner is required to have the property tax under their name after the completion of the transfer of the property in order to keep the Khata related to the property updated in the government record.

The transferring process is required to fulfil some of the conditions that are prevalent and essential from the point of view of the government authorities. The reasons for choosing to transfer the property tax name under their name are as follows:

  • Ownership: The first and foremost reason to transfer the property tax under their name is to keep the Khata of the property updated with the new owner of the property because if the Khata is not registered in the new name, then the new owner in such a case will not be eligible to file the property taxes.
  • Updated Tax Records: After the registering of the new owner, the other most important reason is to file the tax records properly as and when they will accrue.
  • Applicable Laws and Documents: The transfer of the property tax will make the new owner well-versed in the rules and regulations applicable to the area in which the property is situated. It will also provide an overview of the necessary documents.

Thus, these are the reasons behind choosing the property tax name transfer process: to smoothly transition the new owner and avoid any further complications that may arise from not transferring the property tax name to the new owner.
